Beauty Inside Out

Inner Strength is always in style

Beauty Inside: Find your Inner Strength

There will be days that don’t go as planned, there will be days when you are not your best and there will be days that give you that frown. The reason behind these might not be in your hand, but what is in our hand is what you do about it. This is exactly where “finding your inner strength” comes in. Ask yourself and discover what is that makes that frown go upside down?

What do we do to lift our spirit? For some it could be talking and taking the comfort of loved ones, for others it could be going shopping and splurging while for some of us it could be eating chocolate fudge ice-cream right from the bucket.

Beauty out: Find your style that is “Always-in”

Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter trends come and go. What stays constant and always “in” is your style. You can always find the latest trend items that fit your inner style. Mine has always been combining classics and basics with that “pop” - which could be a trendy scarf, a nice handbag or amazing heels and a classic watch.

All in all, inner strength is always in fashion :)

Beauty and the Beast

Beauty Inside: Marriage

So it was my Hubbie’s 30th Birthday and we went off to Maui to celebrate it. It was one of those days on the beach that I realized what having a wonderful man like him in my life means! It made me realize the importance of Marriage/relationships and how I have become more respectful towards other married couples. Be it my mum and dad, my granny and grandpa or just friends who are in a committed relationship.

After my wedding, I have developed a deeper understanding and respect for relationships…

Beauty Out: Post vacation Face Pack

So the Hawaii trip was all about basking in the sun, but at the end of it all we were a good 3 shades darker than we first landed. So, this weekend I made a de-tan face pack at home and voila me & my beast (read husband) are almost back to our original skin shades :)

So..here is the regimen: All from the Kitchen

  1. Cleanser: Milk: Dab it on your face with a cotton ball and leave on for 5 minutes
  2. Toner: Orange Juice: Dab it on your face with a cotton ball and leave on for 5 minutes as well.
  3. Face Pack: Pinch of turmeric powder, dash of lemon juice, half a teaspoon of chickpea flour, half a teaspoon of sandalwood paste and rosewater to get a semi-liquid texture. Leave it on for 15 minutes, wash your face with lukewarm water and do not use any soap after.

See the glow and let me know :)
